I’m planning to resurface a marble covered hearth with new ceramic tiles. Some surfaces are horizontal and some are vertical. The local tile store suggested to first sand the marble to remove the shiny surface and then use Kerabond/Keralastic.

Any words of wisdom you guys can share before I dwell into this project?
