Hello:
I have this amazing Ivory microsuede couch.
Well, (stupid me) I purchased Burgandy Microsuede slipcovers for a party I had (never thinking of the dye)!
Now, (as you can probably guess) there are several "Pinkish" areas on the couch. I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for removing the color?
Thank you!

First, I would wash the burgundy covers a couple times before using them again to keep this from happening again in the future.
On to the stains: microfiber is generally polyester and cleans up relatively well. Unfortunately, dye can easily be set and made permanent. To this end, I would hire a professional upholstery cleaner to ensure the best possible result.

Thanks, Mitch.
I am considering hiring a professional cleaner (they want a lot of money for this extreme oversized couch).
I was wondering if anyone knows anything (a product or something natural) I can try (maybe in a test area) that might help first?
Thank you.

DIY methods for dye transfer are not recommended on an expensive piece of furniture. Professional cleaning is recommended. If it were dye transfer on a T-shirt, yes, we would give a few tips that might work. You can always toss a T-shirt into the trash. In the meantime, toss the slip covers.

This condition is known as crocking....basicly put..some of the dyes on the slip covers were not accepted into the dye sites on the covers...when you placed them on the couch...the movement of the covers even slightly has caused the excess dye to migrate to the unused dye sites onto the couch.
i would toss the covers and get new ones and prewash before use.
Go with a professional, i have done contract floor care and uph cleaning and trust me when i say you get what you pay for most of the times. If you go with a 10 dollar cleaner on a xxxx piece of furniture your going to get the 10 bucks worth. This condition will be dificult to correct, so yes a professional has to charge accordingly due to the risk involved.
