I am about to install hardwood flooring and I have a gyprock flooring. I live above ground on the second level and I was curious to know it anyone has information on installation techniques. I want to know mainly if I can nail hardwood floors down onto gyprock or if I need to glue it. Please respond with any information that could be useful. Is there a floor underneath gyprock generally like a particle board or something along those lines?

You cannot nail or glue anything over gypcrete, or lightweight concrete.
Look for an engineered floor you can install as a floater.

What about Gyprock makes it so you can't glue hardwood down to it?

Easy mat. Then glue.
