New house, new issues:
1) Granite countertop in bathroom has several small water stains on it. Clearly it needs to be sealed. But, is there anything I can do to remove the water stains, or am I stuck with them?
2) I need to install a shower curtain rod in the bathroom, which is covered in granite tile. I purchased a carbide tile/glass bit to drill the mounting holes. I understand I need to lubricate while drilling also. I assume there is concrete backerboard or blueboard behind the tile. So how do I mount the bar -- should I use drywall inserts, caulk, some combination, etc?
Thanks in advance!

You can often buff out water stains with granite polish. If water drops are absorbed by granite, it is time to reseal with sealer for natural stone. Depending on porosity, it may require more than one coat. Clean maintain granite surface only with products recommended for natural stone.
