Any tricks to replacing a tridicator on a HB Smtih Model G-100-W-6 HSID?

Drop the boiler pressure to zero, have the new gauge threads all doped & ready to install, unscrew the old one & slap in the new one quickly. Just make sure any air vents are closed. By doing it this way, you will prevent a lot of air from entering the system.
