I have a Vista 20P with a 6160 and a 6270. I've enabled the 6270 using the 6160 (found in another post - thanks!) with *+0 , *189, 1000 (followed by success tone) and now the 6270 appears to download the info from the 20P.
The problem comes when I try to do anything with it. It looks like the touch sensitivity is off by about 1". If I want to press "Messages" in the middle-left, I have to press the bottom left of the screen. I can't press "Lighting" or "Security".
Is the controller bad or is there a way to calibrate the touch? I purchased this on eBay but the seller noted a 1 year warranty and the panel was new in box but I'd like to try and get it working before I have to return for replacement.
Thanks for all help.
Eric

There is no reference to a calibration routine. You can try running the LCD diagnostic built into the device, but you may have gotten a bum unit. There was a recall of these back in 2005.

there is a calibration option in the advanced set-up tab. It has been a while but I am sure it is there. Seems like it is in the same section as clean the screen option.

There is a _diagnostic_ option, but all it allows you to do is check the visual of the LCD, the sounds, and leds. The clean screen turns off the touch feature long enough to clean it. If I'm missing it, and the Acrobat text search is missing it, I cannot figure out what Ademco called it.
You _may_ be thinking about one of the Symphony units, which might have a calibration routine.
