Hello, I am trying to find out how to reset the fire alarm after a trigger on a DSC power 832.

Currently, if the fire alarm is triggered the siren goes off until someone enters the master code. The alarm system then waits for about a minute and then the siren screams again. It repeats over and over. The smoke is not longer present.

I read that you can have the fire alarm set time of the siren time. Yet, I want to have the fire alarm reset after entering the code.

(I have a 4 wire smoke detector, with no reset button on the unit. I typically pull the power wire to reset it.)

Can I reset the smoke detector with a access code?

Thanks in advance

You should be able to wire the smoke power into one of the pgm outputs, and program it for smoke power. Then you would be able to reset the smoke from the keypad.
Also, if it's programmed correctly, once you silence it, the siren should stay off, with the fire zone in alarm.
Sorry I don't have a book handy, but if you don't have a book, let me know here or pm me, and I'll look into it.
