Hello there,
I wonder if you can give me some good advise on hanging my new mirror. It is 24"x36" quite heavy with a 4"x2" wood frame. I am hanging it in the bathroom. I don't want to hang it with wire but want it very secure.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Julie

I just had a similar mirror installation in my bath. I could not find another method of hanging it and did not want wire. I ended up using the wire method and 2 good wall hangers. I am happy with the installation. Hope this helps.

I would definitely use wire but in addition you could secure it to the wall with Liquid Nails Mirror Adhesive. Depends if you ever want to remove it or not.

There are special mirror hangers that could be used.
They are flat, about 1.5-2" wide, with a 1/8 or 1/4" lip on them, with elongated holes on the flat. They are screwed onto the wall, the bottoms are screwed tight, the tops ones, snug. The mirror sits on the bottom hangers and the top ones then slide down over the mirror..and wala..mirror is attached to the wall.
For example...

I have a mirror hung with those brackets that Jatco is talking about. But I'm thinking that with the thick wood frame on the mirror in question that those are not going to be the right thing for you???
