Our dishwasher has had last rites, and is now deceased.
Pulled up instructions on DIY replacing, got needed tools and never got to stage one.
The dishwasher drain hose runs through adjacent cabinets. There are holes drilled in the cabinet sides to accomodate it.
The unit itself will not pull out of its slot. It hangs up, I think, due to the drainage line.
Can I assume that feeding a large part of the hose back through the cabinet would gain me enough slack to pull the unit out and access the rear section of the unit? The hose is quite long, and beneath the sink travels to the drain area, snakes back to where it enters that section of the cabinet, and then around again to the drain. I would want to keep the hose from going all the way out of the entrance hole. I would never get it back through without removing cabinets.
I cannot presently access or see any power lines or junctions for the washer.
Thanks,
Sarge

If you have any concerns about the hose, you could tie a string around it before pulling it out through the cabinet hole.
All you have is the water supply, usually direct electrical wiring, and drainhose has to be disconnected. Then you may have to lower the front legs a tad, and then unscrew the two screws above the unit that screw into the front underside of the kitchen countertop and then maybe bend the tabs down a tad, then disonnect drain hose from under kitchen sink and unit will pull out. Use care so you don't cut wire insulation or bend water line or cut linoleum floor from the legs, or something. In installing dishwasher, if drainhose concerns you, again tie string onto hose and pull string through cabinet hole and end of hose will follow.
It seems to me that he last dishwasher I fairly recently intalled featured something new; trim strips along the sides vertically and I think they screwed into the left and right cabinets as well, so those also would need to be removed before the unit can slip out, if you have that.
