I would like to add an outlet on the outside of my garage right behind a light switch. On the switch I have a red, white and black wires running the switch. Is it possible to add the outlet using the existing wiring from the switch and if so, how do I wire it? I will be using a GFCI outlet on the outside covered by an outlet cover.

If there are no other wires in the switch box then no, you can't connect a receptacle here.
If there are other wires, tell us what wires are there, and tell us what circuit this is.
