I believe some of the original hybrids (prius etc.)are now 5-6yrs.old so some of the high mileage drivers should be over 100k miles driven.i've heard that they have some different repair problems.Anyone aware of what those problems are?

The big one is supposed to be battery replacement, but I can't remember at what age/mileage that is supposed to be done. I do remember some pretty steep numbers for the cost.

Prius cars have been on the road ten years. If there are any strange issues they would be well known by now. The only thing we know for sure is that there is a misinformation campaign to try to scare people away from hybrid cars, and the Prius in particular.
But of course the market doesn't lie. Prius sale has surpassed one-million cars this past June and Toyota is poised to overtake the General at number 1.
