Yes, this is a really dumb question. We have a recessed shower light with glass lens. I cannot get to the bulb to change it! Have tried to remove the trim and the entire cannister is now hanging! But still can't get into the thing to even change the bulb. What's the trick?? Thanks!!

UUMMM, normally, the trim ring(lens) is spring loaded into the fixture housing. But it sounds like the springs are not working and you have pulled down the whole shootin match. I would suggest a visit from an electrician. You most likely need a new fixture, and possibly some drywall repair.
