my parents have a cottage and the traditional, pink panther insulation was installed by my father, but never covered with drywall or panel etc. does anyone know if this is harmful? i've read that fiberglass can be dangerous if inhalled, but if it is stationary it isnt really inhale-able, is it?

Within the last couple of years(I think) fiberglass was removed from the list of cancer causing products, atleast the modern fiberglass is. Its still a skin and throat irritant though, mainly during installation. What you could do if they haven't already is put up a vapor barrier so it will keep the insulation separate from the living area.
