I have a GE Spectra Oven (JBP24) that heats, but not adequately. When we pre-heat to 350, it beeps to tell us it is pre-heated after 30 minutes and the internal temp is only 240. If we continue to let it continue to heat after 1 hour and 20 minutes it gets up to 310.

I have tried adjusting the thermostat +35, but the result is the above.

Please help. I have company coming and need my oven to prepare meals.

Not familiar with beeping ovens. But maybe it beeps in 30 minutes like a timer, irregardless of the actual true temp. One could question your thermometer you are using, but no need since you posted that you get this additional 70 degree rise in temperature after the 2nd half hour passes.

It has to be a faulty oven control switch. When you buy one of these, they come with that long thermostat bulb attached to the temperature switch, and they are not sold separately. Is the bulb cradled in it's holder in the right location? If so, you need a new control if you already adjusted it to it's max.
