we are in florida its in the 90s. im being told that you can run a hose and install nozzels and spray water on the coils to help the ac run alittle cooler during the hottest part of the day. sounds kind of funny, but maybe worth a shot. . I dont know what to think
thanks

You will just make a mess and it will cost you a lot more in the long run. Just keep the air filter in the blower clean and new every 30 to 90 days. Dont use a filter over a MERV 5

In theory it is correct but what will happen is because the condenser coil is hot, as the water evaporates it will leave behind a residue that will soon start to restrict the air and make the a/c less efficient than when you started.
If your a/c was properly sized it would run almost continuously in the hottest weather.

Does sun shine on the condensor during this hot time of the day? If so, maybe you could build shade for it, but not restrict the air flow at the coils nor above where the pulls then pushes out the warm air at the top.
