I have been trouble shooting this Maytag model lat9420aae all morning & so nowI am a member hear @ This do it yourself site. I tiped the machine over & proped it up to see the belts for the first time. Two belts off the same pully one to the ejecion pump and the other to the moter. The belt for the pump spins fine I think & the moter belt does not. The belt looks ok But it seems loos to me? I pressed on it with my finger while the moter was running in spin cycle, & managed to get the tub to spin as long as the tension was there., Does anyone know if that is the problem, the belt is too loos and some how stretched & needs to be replaced. My wife says that she thinks she may hav overloded it and remembers smelling something burning.Can anyone help?
