I am remodeling a bathroom and have a plumber coming in to put in a shower pan. I will be putting down ceraminc tile in the bathroom and need to know if I put the underlayment (Backerboard?) down on the entire floor surface, or do I do it after the shower pan and vanity are put in and insert around them.

Thanks

If everything is cleared out, do the whole floor. It will add strength to the existing.
