I have a Panasonic 20,000 BTU AC. It is only 2 years old. Suddenly the other day it stopped blowing cold air. The fan works, the electronic temp control works, just the compressor doesn't kick in. The "authorized Panasonic repair Center" wants $100 to come down and tell me it's not the compressor (which is under warranty. Is there any thing I can check by myself b4 I have to have them come down. Thanks

If you know electric you can . Check for the power to the compressor, the run capacitor, then on down and Ohm out the compressor. that should tell you what is what
