Hi,

I'm looking for advice for recessed lighting placement in my kitchen.
Currently, I have a large plastic covered set of FL lamps.

Are there general rules where to place the cans in relationship to typical workplaces? Does it make sense to place one on top of the working area (e.g. sink) or should there be one of each side?

18" from the wall, 3'oc. and a single over the sink, switched seperately, for large cans.

Recessed lights or ceiling mounted light are for general lighting. For task lighting, undercabinet lights get the light where it is needed, on the countertop.
