Hi. The entrance hallway of my house is 4' wide and 13' long. I would like to add a storage bench with a shelf above. The bench is 50'' wide x 16.5'' deep x 20'' high and the shelf is 50'' wide x 11'' deep x 17'' high. Is the hallway to narrow to accommodate the furniture?

Most building codes require a 36" minimum hallway width for a residential hallway. Although this is a piece of furniture I usually like to apply the same minimum rule to any furniture layout especially at a heavy traffic flow area like the front entrance.
