We have a 3-year old 10,000 BTU window A/C unit that runs great, but has stopped cooling. Before calling in the pro's, I was wondering if someone can tell me how to hose it out with just a regular garden hose and water, correctly. We've had this problem before on other A/C units and the guy would come and hose it out and it would start cooling again. Is there anything in particular I need to make certain doesn't get wet? Of course, I know to unplug it, but beyond that, common sense will have to lead the way. I sure appreciate your help. Could a 3 year old, bought brand new A/C unit need freon already? Thanks in advance!
