Looking to use insulation above the suspended ceiling in my basement primarily for sound control. I have read that acoustic tiles for suspended ceilings don't really work well for sound control. Any thoughts on the issue would be helpful and insulation recommedations as well(faced or unfaced and thickness). Joist cavity is 14 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches.
Thanks!
