Hi everyone,

I just recently installed a new air handler, heat pump, and electric heat kit. The problem is when set to heat. the electric heat kicks on first, the the compressor runs after abound a minute, but shuts off after a few minutes. I was measuring the current draw of the heat pump and it shuts off when it goes to 20amps. Any ideas?

What size breaker is the heat pump connected too?

First dont sound like its wired right . The electric heat dont come on first.
Then 20 amps what size H/P is it ???? You say it dont take out the breaker ???? just shuts off???? Does it run ok on just AC ????? Big copper line cold and wet small copper line warm to hot???? On AC????
