HELP! I didn't realize there was a pen in one of the pockets of my husbands pants and it got ink all over everything. I need to find some way of getting it off the clothes and the inside of the dryer.
Yesterday, I found out that a pen had exploded in my dryer and all over the clothes. I found a product that worked to get the ink off the clothes, but it's still all over the inside of the dryer, any ideas?

For the dryer, first try rubbing alcohol, which is very good for getting out ink stains. If that doesn't work (if it's too set in or heavy) WD-40 should work. Lastly try acetone or nail polish remover. Make sure you wash it well and let dry completely before using it because the fumes from these products can be flammable.
For the clothes, if it ran thru the dryer and set, it may be too late, but first try the rubbing alcohol again, and you may need to use several treatments letting it dry in between. If that doesn't work try Goof Off or a hand cleaner like Gojo, then wash. If none of that works, take it to a dry cleaner since they have professional products that may work.
Good luck!

Always apply rubbing alcohol to white rag or paper towels. Do not pour or spray cleaners into dryer drum. Change rag or paper towels as needed until no more ink comes off dryer drum. Then, run a couple old towels through a drying cycle to assure no ink will get on laundry.
Ink stains on clothing can often be removed by flushing with rubbing alcohol and pretreating with heavy duty liquid laundry detergent and left to set before washing. Repeat applications may be necessary.

You could try rubbing alcohol. Worked for me.
