I am adding new cabinets and an over the range microwave to my kitchen. What I am wondering is how high is the microwave mounted above the range.

Generally the over-the-range cabinet is 12" shorter than the surrounding cabinets, placing it about 30" above the rangetop. This can vary, but is common.
