Hello.....I am at a loss. The fan in my little boys room went out last week.I purchased a Harbor Breeze from Lowe's and a light kit of the same make. Here is the trouble. The fan/light are controlled by two wall mounted switches. The top one,for the light, has a white on the line side with a red coming out.The bottom one for the fan is black in/black out.It appears that the receptacles in this room now do not work.Coming into the fan mounting box I have two separate cables. One is flat romex with a B,W,Ground and red clipped back(was this way already).Another cable has the B,W,R, and a ground.
The fan itself has a a black, white, blue(for the light) and a ground. Please help I am at a loss. The generic wiring diagram in the box did not address this particular sitaution. Thanks in advance.

How were things wired BEFORE you disconnected anything?
Describe ALL the wiring at the switch box and at the ceiling. Be specific. Tell us what cables exist, what color wires are in those cables and how those wires are connected to anything.
