We are currently getting started on the renovation of the bathroom. We have a dark vanity (burgendy) http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=76003-444-V27449&lpage=none
the vanity top is a mocha top. Now the flooring is going to be either vinyl tile or regular ceramic tile. Not sure yet but this is the color of the vinyl flooring we have picked out: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=176464-61-A3101051&lpage=none
Looks great up against the vanity, but not sure if we wanna go that route b/c of the length of time it will be down, but it is easier to fix a damaged tile. I have this stuff in the kitchen and love it. I dropped a knife on the floor and cut a tile. I peeled it up and put a new one down.
THE QUESTION IS: What color tub should we get!!!???? HOW will the white (new) tub look with the darker color scheme!???? My wife is discussing about getting a tan tub. That adds about 150-200 bucks more to the tub and surround(sold as a set $488) that we selected which is white. The toilet is white and I asked what are we going to do with that paint it?? She said no buy a new colored toilet!!! LOL I just laughed!!
Need all the opinions we can get and I want white, so I will pay you guys if you say white!!! HA HA THANKS

If you want white, by all means do white. Any one that tells you otherwise should be ignored. Decorating is a very personal thing, what suits you will rarely suit anyone else.

Bathroom fixtures are typically all the same color. If you have a white toilet, go with a white tub.

OK!! I knew the answer, I just had to describe to my wife how it went. She wanted to special order a tub and surround that was a cream or tan color and get a new toilet of the same color. I said hell no!!!!!! The bathroom project would jump from around 2800 to about 3500-4000!! Our bathroom is 8X8 and we have spent around 2500 so far and I still have to buy misc. plumbing stuff along with anything else that comes up if we have any problems. THANKS GUYS ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!
