I have a white refridgerator that refuses to die! That being said, I would like to paint it black to match my decor. How do I go about doing this? It is a Kenmore with freezer on the top and the surface is sort of like an orange peel.
Can I use automotive paint?

Yes you can use automotive paint. If it is an older model with the slick metal finish you need to use a solvent based paint [automotive or oil base] The newer ones that have the vinyl [?] coating on them can be painted with a solvent base or a waterborne enamel.
:D you do know that murphy's law states that if you paint it up REALLY nice it will quit running once the paint dries  ...........sorry :D

I re-painted a hideous brown keg fridge with black enamel appliance paint I picked up at the local home improvement store. It looks great.
I admit....I couldn't stop there and ended up putting a granite tile top on it too. It does look great, though, even though my wife rolls her eyes every time she walks by it.
I did expect the fridge to stop working the minute I finished but it keeps working...
