Lighting, Light Fixtures, Ceiling and Exhaust Fans - Fluorescent storage

My church uses a lot of fluorescent bulbs of various types. From the small 4 pin plug-ins to 96" T12s.
Buying them one at a time as needed is quite expensive. Therefore I have purchased "bulk" quantites of each to lower expenses.
However, the storage area for all these bulbs has been taken over by other church needs.
I found a place to keep them but I worry about the long-term (1 year +) effects of the heat and humidity here in steamy Houston. It's a storage shed that is protected from rain but not from heat and RH.
Will there be future problems if stored in these conditions?
Would enclosing the boxes in large tie-wrapped garbage bags help?

I am not familiar with storage requirements for fluorescent bulbs. I would contact the manufacturers of these bulbs (Sylvania, General Electric, etc.) and ask them what they recommend. You may even find the information on their web site. I would ask several manufacturers and compare the results.
