This house I bought has shutters in the shed. They are in good shape with 3 layers of paint on them. I started removing the paint because I don't want them to have that "painted over the old paint" look when I am finished.
I started using a heat gun yesterday but was just wondering what is the best and fastest way of removing the old paint?
Thanks!

I'm not sure there is a 'best' way to remove old paint - unless it was to let someone else do it :D A heat gun or paint and varnish remover are the 2 most commonly used methods.

Yes, the best and fastest way is to take them to a stripper and have them "dipped"

Stripping is a time-consuming and messy job
Not many products that really work well left

A heat gun and scraping, and then stripping may work

Can you give me an example of who does "dipping"? I'd like to try that.

Look in the yellow pages under paint stripping or removal.
