I am about to paint a room using SW Duration. I primed the room using Kilz Original....will this be ok?

side question for future painting needs:

Should I use the primers supplied by makers like SW if using SW paints?

Quick survey....Kilz Original or Zinzer?

Kilz Original can be used under virtually any interior wall paint.

You do not have to use a brand's primer under a brand's top coat. That said most branded primers are good to excellent. Most brand's have,in both primers and top coats, several levels of quality.A brand name does not guarantee quality.Pricing is usually a good way to determine quality as is purchasing your paint where they employ knowledgeable sales help.

Zinsser products are superior quality primers.Kilz would basically be considered adequate but Zinsser primers are excellent.Zinsser's oil and shellac based primers are the best but are generally more expensive and do not offer water clean up.Their latex product is also fine primer. Each has a name but they escape me right now.BIN I believe is shellac based and 123 is latex?
