Hello
Lost my manual for my Kenmore 70 pint dehumidifier. Wanted to install the optional overflow hose but wasn't exactly sure how to go about it.

A link to a manual (I can't find one Googling), or instructions to make the install would be appreciated. I do have the overflow extension tube available to connect a hose to.

Thanks!

On the left hand side of the back of the unit, below the top hook for the power cord, there is a plastic disc connected to the unit by 3 small plastic pieces. Remove the disc. I just pushed mine in and let it fall into the unit.

Behind the hole where the disc was, is a piece of foam rubber with crosshair type perforations. Insert the small end, (not the threaded end), of the of the overflow hose into the hole and through the perforated part of the foam rubber.

On the other side of the foam rubber is a small plastic pipe that the overflow hose connects to. (It is located behind the removable bucket). You can see the small pastic pipe by removing the bucket from the unit. The overflow hose will simply push onto the pipe.

Once you have the overflow hose on the pipe, you can help it stay secured by inserting the tab that is on the threaded side of the overflow hose, (where the drain hose will connect), into the slot located at the bottom of the hole on the back of the unit.

Thanks fixit1----I've been struggling on how to "secure" that plastic stub of a pipe that goes inside the dehumidifier. It keeps falling out once connected and weighed down by the garden drain hose. I'll look for the plastic tab and slot on the back of L/G dehumidifier (or use duct tape!)
