I consider myself an average DIY but I am being challenged by my evaporative cooler. I have a master cool with a tekelek thermostat. The high speed has gone on the blink, thermostat lights up but motor does not kick in. Low speed works find. I am now replacing thermostat with a Dial Cooler Control. I have to remove all the connects from the Tekelek. Now
I need advise as to how to wire a two speed motor and water pump for evaporative cooler and a thermostat with a cut off switch by the cooler"
Does anyone have a schematic showing the actual connection.

Why are you changing thermostat when it sounds more like the high speed winding of the motor is the problem.
Have you done a continuity test of the motor windings ?
I always assume that the simplest things are more likely to cause the problems.
