I have a factory built woodburing fireplace with a brick facade and is vented through an 11" metal flue. The unit is an SH-42 and is very inefficient. I am trying to find a cast iron insert for wood that will fit/align with the existing flue. In order to meet code it will need to be certified as compatible with the SH-42 which means it needs to be zero clearance as well as physically fit.
Does anyone know of a specific model or even manufacturer that I can contact for leads on a proper insert? In the midwest I have plenty of time to look, but so far local dealers have struck out.
Tnx.
