My 2 year old sears model 580.54351400 decided to stop using its fan. Took it
apart and bypassed the circuit board and the fan spun. With all the problems on the dkk thread, do I need the board or will I be wasting my cash only to need a fan also.

No time to wait for a reply. Went outb and bought a new one. NOT a Kemore,

What did you buy???? I have 3 Kenmore junkers....fans are a big problem with the dehumidifers among other things.
