How and where do you install the sensor for the water temperature and speed

Typically, the water pick up for a speedo is mounted on the stern of the boat, regardless of whether it is a pressure sensor or a paddlewheel type pickup. It should go about 6 - 12 inches in board of either side of the boat - allowing for smooth water flow to the pickup - follow the manufacturers recommendations for depth information. Not sure what type of temp pickup you have..... but would imagine that, as long as it is immersed in the water when the boat is stationary ... it would work properly.
