Is there any way other than getting a restricted pesticide permit or physically digging these suckers up to kill them? I recently bought 2.5 acres of nothing but prickly pear! (So it seems anyway!) I have already dug up almost an acre of them, but I'm exhausted, and am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I have yet to tackle the biggest patches. Thank goodness my soil is very sandy, so it makes things a bit easier. I want to get my horses out here by July, that's the whole reason we bought this place. Any suggestions?
