Hello. I am wondering what types of service are recommended for a furnance. I was recently told that a twice a year servicing package is available from a local company, but I have no idea if this is actually needed or what they will be doing? Can someone elaborate on this for me?

If you have a gas furnace. One Time a year is all you should need . You can put in a new air filter every 30 to 90 days when its on yourself. But to have the furnace check all over and see that the blower is clean the burners okand pilotis ok is all you need. There are so many different furnace out now that to say just what to look for is hard.
