I need to replace my outside unit. My air handler is 2.5 ton. Is it ok to install 3 ton condensing unit in this case? What draw back can I expect?

You can get by with a bigger coil on a smaller condenser. But for sure you dont want to put a bigger condensing unit on a smaller coil. Just cost you a lot more $$$$$ to run
