I just replace my fan on the cooling unit outside....i had replace the capacitor as well with a "two prong" in stead of the three prong and the fan motor i put on has 4 wires comming out instead of the two

well i went to start the unit up and the fan only runs with less that 1/3 power used...so i went ahead and connected the fan to the old capicitor and have the same problem....the two brown wires go to each side of the capicotor right (3 prong capicitor) and basically one prong is left alone....i think on the old fan the single brown wire went to the third prong by itself....

What could it be.....its getting hot in here!!!thanx for any help

i'm goin to double check the fan motors for the specs but the do have the same 1/4 horsepower but the new fan does make a few more RPM....

specs
old fan is 200-230 volt, 825 rpm, 1/4 HP, HZ 60, 1.9 amp, 1 phase
new fan is 208-230 volt, 1075 rpm, 1/4 HP, 1.6 amp, 1 speed

like i said i tried both capacitors and have the same results....its got to be some way i'm wiring it or something....due to the two brown wires comming out of the new fan
