I am in a newly renovated townhouse I've been in the house two summers and each summer the Rheem HVAC has stopped working ---both times in the middle of the night --- both times, the outdoor fan has stopped blowing while the internal fan appears to be working and humming.
Last year, I paid a repair person $100 and he came, took the box of the outdoor fan unit, hit a reset button, and all was good. I've tried to find the same button. Anyone know (a) where on this unit the button might be and how to reset and (b) any suggestions why an allegedly brand new unit would have switch off issues twice in two years.
Just to be on the safe side and cover my bases, I have also checked the internal circuit braker on both the unit and to the house. Neither were tripped so I turned each on/off just to be on the safe side. Ultimately, my entire HVAC is "off" as I didn't want the internal fan blowing.
I am very open to suggestions. This is my first house and I've learned a lot in the past year!
Thanks so much! :)

This will probably need to be moved to the HVAC forum for the best chance at an answer.

Echo ... You need to get this moved to an HVAC forum, and you should also post your nameplate info (mfgr, model and size if known). Links to photos are usually helpful.

both times, the outdoor fan has stopped blowing
WHY--- bad motor or just capacitor?????? Thats where Id start
Look for the high head button inside the unit outside. It goes off on head cause the fan stopped.
