My attic unit has a blower that is not turning. When the thermostat is turned on, the blower unit hums, but I can't tell if it is the blower or the relay/capacitor module.
Can anyone tell me what the most likely culprit is?
Which one would make the unit hum upon failing?

I am having the same problem with my unit. Someone suggested replacing the capacitor before doing anything else. Since they are fairly inexpensive, I would recommend trying the capacitor before the motor. You can always replace the motor later if it is not the capacitor.
