I have a Maytag 12000 BTU unit I bought 2-3 years ago. It has no movable switches, just an electrical control panel. The model is a M6Y12F2A-E. When I turn it on it beeps the panel comes on for a second and then goes out. It beeps every 2 minutes, but the panel remains dark. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I know it is made by Fedders.

I used to own one, I think it's under a 5 year warranity, I'd call Maytag/Fedder on this.
