I recently had a foundation wall poured. Due to a few different problems with the forms while we were pouring, the form walls began to swell and slant on one side of the wall. We allowed the wall to dry in hope of repairing it which brings me to my question.

Can we set up a form with one side being the outside of the bowed foundation wall and pour a slab in order to flatten the wall and square the top for our seal plate? If so how thick would this new slab have to be to prevent cracking or any other problems? If not are there any other suggestions? Thanks

Your forms shifted with the weight of the concrete and now you have a mess. Those are always fun. The previous owner of my house had this happen to him when he poured the garage slab. They just shored it up as best they could, let it cure, chipped the top outside edge back at an angle so it would shed water [sort of], and called it good. Ugly as sin, but it's in back, so who cares, right?

Perhaps a layer of mortar to level the top of the wall would be acceptable.

I think the bottom line here is what the inspector thinks, so to that end I think you might be best off just bringing him in now and asking what fix he would find acceptable.
