The brick around the house looks like this all over. I was wondering if anyone knew what caused it or how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Does it look like someone did some mortar repair and smeared the material onto the brick?

Well the mortar does look different also. But im not sure if that was a cause of the problem or perhaps an effect of something else going on.

It looks like they sanded/ground around the repairs for some reason. Not really repairable, though it can be disguised.
