How can I fix my tilt in windows if they are all not staying up anymore?

You probably have tilts that are equipped with spiral balances. When you tip the window down, do you see spiral shaped rods on the left and right? If so, they are probably shot and need to be replaced. I believe HD's web site has these available online. You will also need a spiral balance winding tool in order to replace them. It's fairly easy to do.

are you talking about pivoting/access-awning windows that project outside to the exterior or are you talking about "TILT-IN" windows for easier cleaning?

just covering that up for anybody. your talking about a hung window where you pull up to open and down to close right? thanks.

if you ask someone, there is also a way to tihten/loose/adjust the tensioned springs to keep window leveled and steady. goodluck.
