I am tryin g to uphoster a round plywood seat for a kitchen set. I have lots of puckers when I try to staple the fabric (which is a velvet type fabric.),, I can't seem to obtain a pucker free round. It looks terrible. What is the secret to pucker-free round or curved upholstery projects. Thanks for any advice that you can give me. Dixietony

Yep, that's the nature of round cushions. The best and nicest way is to sew on a boxing strip. The other way is to get a needle and thread and sew a running stitch around a circle cut much larger than the seat. Then you'd pull on the end threads to tighten it then play around with it to get it all even, then staple. If you don't have more fabric to play with then you'll just have to kind of pleat it as you go around and use push pins first to hold it in place, then when it looks neat, staple. Let me know if you need me to elaborate on anything. :)
