i have a tv, cable box, and two dvd players hooked up to a sherwood stereo. One dvd player is a dvd recorder, i use one to record to the other with no problems but when i try to record off the tv i get a buzzing sound. can any help.

sounds like one of your RCA plugs isn't inserted fully into the jack, either that or your cables are bad, could also be you have a 120volt line laying near or on that cable

try putting a ground isolator on your incoming cable line at the demark point. You could also make sure the volume output on your DCT is at a sufficient level - if the volume output from the cable box is too low you can get background noise.
