I have a 1989 snapper 8hp 30 inch cut, when in reverse the brake does not work, or if the engine is at a high rpm it does not come to a complete stop,( shifted at 3 through 5). How do you adjust te brake?

Go to www.snapper.com, select publications at the top right, enter model and stuff to get the manual for the mower. I think the adjustment is the cable behind the brake pedal. Have a good one. Geo
