I recently installed a Bosch AquaStar 2400NG in my house. The unit works fine but I'm having a difficult time getting the water temp to stay constant when using the shower. Also I've set the temp to 104 degrees but the temp coming out of the faucet gets up to 130 degrees.

Thanks in advance.

You need to contact Bosch. Ask uf that unit has a high temperature safety limit function. You may be able to find the information in your manual. If it does not, return the unit to where you got it and buy a better brand.

Second question...do you have a "pressure balanced" type of shower valve? If so, ask Bosch if their unit will work with that type of shower. There have been problems discussed on these forums about tankless with pressure bal.

Also is the Bosch equipment not that good?

A pressure balanced valve is one that is designed to maintain the temperature of the water about the same, even if someone flushes the toilet and causes a drop in cold water pressure. If your shower valve just turns, not tip or pull out, and starts a cold and goes to warm and hot, then it may likely be this type of valve. Because the balancing piston tries to vary the flow of hot water, it "fights" against the WH trying to maintain a constant temp and flow. Some brands work better than others in this respect.
